The Ottawa South Palliative Foundation is a not for profit fundraising organization born of the Ottawa South Palliative Group. We are a group of dedicated medical professionals who provide home based palliative care to patients with life limiting diagnoses, residing in the south end of Ottawa. Through our holistic approach we strive to optimize the lives of patients and families by managing symptoms and allowing people to achieve a higher quality of life whether with ongoing treatment or through the complexities of end of life. Part of our vision for the future is to establish a hospice in the south end, allowing us to again provide a setting that meets the needs and wishes of patients as they navigate their own individual paths. Through our community outreach and involvement we hope to assist with funding of nursing support or equipment in exceptional cases and also to help support other palliative organizations. The Ottawa South Palliative Foundation acts as a resource to educate and support patients and families while working towards our ultimate goal to provide respectful, patient and family centered care within the individual goals of care of our entire community.
